An Adventurous Time
4:32 PMWell long time no type!
I apologize for the lengthy days without any posts, but I have been a busy woman with the road trip to Maine, working, getting ready for school part 2, and planning an impromptu trip to Chicago!
First of all, a recap:
The wedding in Maine was lovely! It was at this cute little sportsman's club by the lake and the inside was beautiful. Brian, my husband's cousin, and his new bride, Danielle, looking positively radiant together. I was so happy for them!
They had to coolest photo booth that everyone loved, too! After clicking the button, this television counted down to three, and you had a myriad of props to choose from and it took three pictures with a five second break in between in order for a quick change. Emphasis on the quick change. Then, it brought up all of the pictures into a little slideshow and tagged the photos with "Congratulations Brian & Danielle!" It seemed to be a major hit at the reception. We had a bit too much fun with it.
I had a nice time visiting family and friends, and even though it seemed like the days were so quick and jam packed with things to do, it was a lovely vacation. Vacations meant to be relaxing always seems to be a little stressful in between, huh?
Not long after we got back, one of my dearest and oldest friends, Kristina, one of my maids of honor, whom lives in Reno, Nevada, told me she and her boyfriend were visiting Chicago soon. So, I am lucky enough to live four hours away and will get a chance to finally see her again! I am beyond thrilled! I just booked my hotel and the Holiday Inn Chicago North Shore and the first thing I did was text Christopher: "We need to bring our swim suits. The pool is amazing." Just look at it!
Obviously, we will be spending most of our quick day visit outside and in Chicago, but a little late night swim may be just what we need :)
Only a few more days till the trip!
Oh! And how could I have forgotten?! We bought a new car!
Isn't she beautiful?
Unfortunately, I got in a car accident at the end of May, which result in my car being totaled. I really loved my Buick Rendezvous, but walked away unscathed, as did the other driver. My car did her job, and while it has been tough this past few months figuring out schedules, as we only had one car, and budgets, we finally got to lease this new little powerhouse on Monday. I think we made the right choice with a CR-V. It's so smooth! It's like I'm driving on liquid gold. I highly recommend it.
I am still in chains on what to name her. I'm tied between Stella or Sophia.
This next week will be full of school prep, working, and packing once again!
Enjoy your weekend :)
Stay Sweet,
Allison
